
Technical Scholar Intern Program
The Technical Scholar Intern Program (TSIP) provides assistance to those students who are working in a job related to their Southwest major. The program allows Southwest students to gain real world, paid work experience related to their major while earning academic credit from Southwest. Participating employers gain access to Southwest students eager to put their training and new ideas to work.

Student Benefits
- Gain practical experience in your field of study, often solving real problems in the workplace
- Earn academic credit for your work experience by enrolling in a Cooperative Education course
- Receive hourly pay (as determined by the employer)
- Tuition and fee expenses not covered by grants and/or scholarships are paid by Southwest
- Textbook stipend provided by Southwest:

Employer Benefits
- Have access to motivated college students eager to put their training and new ideas to work
- Gain temporary staff coverage or help with short-term projects

- Temporary, hourly positions (employer determines hourly rate of student pay)
