The Office of Advising is advising all students online. Professional academic advisors will notify students of recommended fall 2020 courses via their Southwest email. Fall registration is open.

  • Advisors conduct online appointments via the following:
  • TEAMS, ZOOM (30 minute free version) and Skype.
  • Phone
  • Email - Students can email or text their professional academic advisor using contact information that is located on their dashboard.

All of these options require time for advisors to respond and may cause a delay in response. Students should plan ahead and review the advising options available. For more information, email advising@southwest.tn.edu.

For May 2020 graduates, all ETS Proficiency Profile exams are waived. Major Field exams for Southwest A.A.S. programs remain accessible online through PAWS and are required for graduation. If you require Testing Services assistance, please contact us via testing@southwest.tn.edu.

The Testing Center is closed until further notice. Guidance on how to test during this time is at the discretion of the instructor. The testing email at testing@southwest.tn.edu is monitored regularly for assistance. Major Field exams are available for completion via PAWS.

All Southwest operations are online. All employees work remotely with the exception of public safety and select custodial personnel. Work schedules have NOT changed—Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
