CORDOVA STANDOUT INKS WITH SALUQIS BASEBALL TEAM
Southwest Tennessee Community College Head Baseball Coach Johnny Ray has
announced the signing of catcher Julian Henson of Cordova High School.
“Julian is a player that we targeted as someone we had to have,” said
Ray. “Not only is he a great kid, but he is a winner on the field. We
are thrilled that Julian has decided to continue his education and
baseball career here at Southwest.”
Henson batted .387 as a junior at Cordova, and set the single season
school record for runs batted in with 36. He led the Wolves with 48
hits, 4 triples, and 15 doubles, and was also among the team leaders in
on-base average (.469) and slugging average (.597). Henson’s honors
include Team MVP, All-District 14AAA, All-District 14AAA Tournament, and
Commercial Appeal All-Metro Team.
