Southwest Names New Board Member to Foundation

Southwest Tennessee Community College has named Charles B. “Chip” Wiggs, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with MBI, to its Foundation Board of Trustees

Wiggs has been with MBI, the Mid-South’s largest contract office furniture dealer, since July of 2005.



“As an executive new to the Memphis area, I am committed to quality education such as that provided by Southwest Tennessee Community College,” says Wiggs. “Southwest’s high standards and student-centric philosophy afford opportunities for continuing education and allow people to achieve their educational, career, personal and economic goals. Southwest provides educational opportunities that not only benefit individual students but also enhance our entire community through increasing a graduate’s ability to compete in an increasingly technical and complex economic environment.”

Prior to moving to Memphis, Wiggs and his wife Gloria resided in Chicago where he served as the Vice President of Sales for the Itasca, IL-based Environetx. He and his wife reside in Cordova, TN.

The members of the Foundation Board serve three-year terms. The Board is a non-profit, charitable corporation, holding a 501(c)(3) designation from the Internal Revenue Service and is a supportive but separate entity from the College.
