TSBDC is hosting Community Express Loan Workshop in September

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center is hosting a free workshop that will provide important information concerning how to effectively finance a new or existing business. The workshop will be held at the Renaissance Center at 555 Beale Street in Memphis on Tuesday, September 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Participants will be able to learn step-by-step ways to apply for a Small Business Association (SBA) Community Express Loan through Superior Financial Group. Loans are available in amounts starting a5 $5,000 through $25,000. Loans are not a credit card loan; they are a SBA guaranteed loan payable over 10 years. Full- and part-time businesses. These loans are great for start-up businesses, home-based businesses, Internet businesses or any existing business looking to expand.

To apply for the loans at the workshop, participants must have the following:

• Photo copy of their driver's license or official ID

• Social Security Number

• Evidence of LPRA status if not a citizen

• Federal Tax ID number and your business checkbook

• All partners, principals or co-owners of the business must apply together.
