Imesia Jackson scored 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Southwest women’s basketball team to a 65-57 win over 15th-ranked Motlow State on Saturday afternoon at the Verties Sails Gymnasium. The win improved the Lady Saluqis’ record to 10-7 overall and 7-6 in the Tennessee Junior and Community College Athletic Association.

On Friday night, the Southwest women dropped a 96-80 decision to 19th-ranked Chattanooga State in a game that was much closer than the score. The Lady Saluqis were down by only three points at the half (43-40), but couldn’t overcome Chattanooga State’s hot shooting in the second half. Jackson also led Southwest in this game with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Priscilla Campbell added 12 points.
