SOUTHWEST SOFTBALL PLAYERS SIGN WITH CRICHTON

Southwest softball players Erica Brich and Tiffany Bright have National
Letters of Intent to continue their education and softball careers at
Crichton College in Memphis.
Brich set Lady Saluqis pitching records with 21 wins and 296 strikeouts
in her two-year career at Southwest. As a sophomore, Brich set single
season school records with 11 wins and 164 strikeouts and as a hitter
led the Lady Saluqis with 27 runs batted in. Her freshman year, Brich
was named to the TJCCAA All-Western Division team and set a Southwest
record with a 2.32 earned run average.
Bright was a two-time All-TJCCAA catcher for the Lady Saluqis during the
2004 and 2005 seasons. As a sophomore, Bright led the Lady Saluqis with
a .347 batting average, 50 hits, 31 runs batted in, a .410 slugging
average, and a .437 on-base average. She also set numerous Southwest
career records including most hits (93), most runs batted in (62) and
most total bases (114).
