Southwest’s Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) is sponsoring a workshop, Exporting as a Business Development Strategy, May 19. An information-packed two hours covers Assessing Your Company’s Readiness, Finding and Selecting a Foreign Market, and true stories from true exporters, plus the nitty-gritty of Shipping and Export Documentation and Financing. Locations: The Renaissance Center, 555 Beale, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.; and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, 107 West Court Square in Somerville, 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Workshop partners are the U.S. Department of Commerce and Traderoots (U.S. Chamber of Commerce). Presenters include David Spann, U.S. Expert Assistance Center, representatives from FedEx, local exporting companies and export banks. Fee is $50, including lunch (at Fayette, supper).
