Saluqis Basketball Team Cracks Top 10 in NJCAA Poll

The Southwest Men's Basketball Team, now 16-1 on the season and winners of 15 consecutive games, moved up two spots to number 10 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association Division 1 Poll.

The Saluqis have received outstanding play this season from sophomores Jeremy Williams (team-high 16.5 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game); Myron Strong (14.4 points, 3.3 assists); Reginald Owens (13.8 points, 7.4 rebounds); DeAngelo Riley (11.7 points, team-high 8.1 rebounds, team-high 2.7 blocked shots); and Jeremy Rodgers (9.9 points, 7.2 rebounds).

Southwest will play two conference games this week, both on the road. The Saluqis will travel to Columbia State on February 4 and Dyersburg State on February 7.
