Southwest Tennessee Community College and LeMoyne-Owen College Sign Articulation Agreement

Southwest Tennessee Community College students who complete the University Parallel Associate of Science degree in Business Administration will be accepted as transfer students at LeMoyne-Owen College after meeting all admission requirements. Upon completing the program at Southwest, students will be eligible to enroll in either the traditional or accelerated programs at LeMoyne-Owen.

The Bachelor of Business Administration with a track in management, finance or accounting will be awarded by LeMoyne-Owen after completing the following requirements: a minimum of 45 upper-division credit-hours for the management track completed at LeMoyne-Owen; a minimum of 39 credit-hours for elective courses; an overall final cumulative GPA of at least 2.0; and completion of all other degree requirements of LeMoyne-Owen College.

The agreement was signed on February 25 by Dr. Joanne Bassett, provost and executive vice president at Southwest, and Dr. Barbara Frankle, dean of academic affairs for LeMoyne-Owen. This agreement takes effect for the 2009-2010 school year and will be reviewed annually by representatives from both institutions.
