Join Southwest Tennessee Community College Career Services for the inaugural visit of the Tennessee Department of Labor Career Coach on September 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Macon Cove Campus. Job seekers can stop by and view jobs categorized by industry that are available throughout the state. This is a key initiative supported heavily by Governor Bill Haslam.
The mobile center offers job seekers computers with Internet access, copy and fax machines, telephones and career resources similar to what you might find in a Tennessee Career Center. The Career Coach has access to labor market information which shows occupations that are in demand and the education and training that may be required by employers in the industry.
Southwest's current students, alumni and the general public are invited to visit the Career Coach and take advantage of the mobile job resource. For more information contact Southwest Career Services at 901-333-4180. Job information is also available for viewing through the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development website at http://www.state.tn.us/labor-wfd/.
