Southwest Women’s and Men's Basketball teams have released their schedules for the 2012-2013 season. They include 18 women’s and men’s TCCAA doubleheaders, with nine of those at the Verties Sails Gymnasium on the college’s Union Avenue Campus.
The Southwest women and men will play exhibition games against the Saluqi and Lady Saluqi Alumni on October 29. The women will open the regular season on November 2-3 in the Dyersburg Classic in Dyersburg, TN, then conference play begins for both teams on November 9 when Southwest travels to Cleveland, TN, for a conference matchup with Cleveland State. The regular season home opener is on November 16 against Roane State.
In non-conference play, both teams will play Mid-South Community College at home and away; and the men’s team only will play at home against Arkansas Baptist. In addition to the Dyersburg Classic, the women will play in the Georgia Perimeter Classic on November 23-24 and will host the Lady Saluqi Classic on December 28-29.
The TCCAA/NJCAA Region VII Tournament will be held at Motlow State in Lynchburg, TN, on March 5-9 with the NJCAA Tournament on March 18-23 in Hutchinson, KS, (men) and Salina, Kansas (women).
