Help us, help you. Our goal is to have your financial aid funds ready at the beginning of each term. However, since the process takes time, if your FAFSA results are not received by Southwest Tennessee's Financial Aid Office at least 2 months before the term starts, you may have to pay for tuition, fees, books, and supplies from your own funds. Therefore, it is in your best interest to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible, and to complete it accurately.

For the 2010 Fall semester students who apply by April 15 will receive priority.
For the 2011 Spring semester, students who apply by October 1 will receive priority.

Please note that a select number of students who apply for federal financial aid must verify the information submitted on the aid application. Therefore, students must be prepared to submit income documents to the Financial Aid Office. Also, the student must not be in default on a federal student loan or owe a repayment on a federal grant.

Students applying for Foundation Scholarships

Applications for Foundation Scholarships must be completed by March 15. Applications will be considered if received after February 14; however, all aid recipients must be regular students in regular programs and have all admission and eligibility requirements for aid completed at least two months before they plan to register. Otherwise, students must be prepared to pay their own expenses to start college and receive their aid at a later date.
