The Advisory Committee

Responsibilities of Members

At appropriate times and at their convenience, advisory committee members may be expected to:

Make themselves available to answer fire science student questions, give advice and or share insight to the Fire science Degree Program
Be willing to offer advise and their expertise to the Department Chair and Department Instructors
Publicize the program and refer prospective students
Review curriculum, course outlines, syllabi, texts, and supplies on a yearly base and recommend changes
Serve as guest lectures for cooperative educational sites
Recommend and encourage supervisors and administrators of facilities to volunteer as cooperative education sites for the Fire Science Students
Serve as mentors to the students
