The curriculum set up with the Fire Science Program is designed for the intent of assisting the enrolled the achievement of an Associates Degree within two years. The curriculum offers courses in Hazardous Material, a progressive trend within the fire services, Leadership Styles and Management; education is the future to successful organizations. These courses provide an element of structure and a tool to utilize when being given the promotional titles, which involves leadership skills. The Fire Science Program is a supervisory development program offering an Associate Degree of Fire Science that is designed for Fire Officers and those who aspire to become fire officers. The program consist of courses that provide the student with knowledge and skills to perform the required administrative, managerial, and emergency management functions of the first-level supervisor and mid-level manager within the Fire Service Organization.
Supervisory and leadership skills are developed through the following courses: Fire Officer 1, Fire Officer Leadership, Mid Level Management, and Fire Budget and Finance.
Presentation and Code Enforcement Skills are developed through: Fire Service Instructional Methodology, Developing Life and Fire Safety Strategies, Fire Inspector 1 and Fire Protection System.
Emergency Management skills are developed through: Fire Fighting Strategy and Tactics I and II and Hazardous Materials I and II.
