Tracy L. Horton, Associate Director of Human Resources
Tracy Horton began employment with Southwest as a student worker in 1990 and joined the Human Resources (HR) staff in 1993. Horton's 20 years of HR experience includes clerical service, management and development, employee relations, training and advisement. In 2013, he was promoted to Associate Director of HR where his responsibilities within the department increased to include coordinating HR policies and programs with an emphasis on employee relations. Horton also insures that the organization is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations and works in developing, implementing and evaluating ongoing HR policies, programs, functions and activities.
Horton received an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Operations from State Technical Institute at Memphis in 1995 and a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership from the University of Memphis in 2009. Horton also received a Certificate in Internal Investigation from the Council on Education in Management in association with George Washington University in 2009. He is a State of Tennessee Notary Public and is listed as a Rule 31 Civil Mediator in the Tennessee State Courts. He received the 2013 Human Resources and Affirmative Action Executive Director's Award for Excellence presented by Paul Thomas.
