General Information
The Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation is responsible for coordinating the TELS program and has final authority regarding all rules and regulations pertaining to this program. All requirements for eligibility and information for renewal are available to parents and students at Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the application used to apply for all Tennessee Education Lottery scholarship programs. The FAFSA may be completed online at the FAFSA on the Web-Federal Student Aid website. Southwest must be listed as a college choice on your FAFSA application in order for the information to be sent to us from the Federal Processor.
Note: The Southwest Tennessee Community College School Code is 010439.
The following deadlines for receipt of the FAFSA apply for each term of entry at Southwest:

Getting Started

- Transfer Student
- A transfer student is a student who has attended another college or university and is seeking a degree at Southwest Tennessee Community College.
- Non-Traditional Student
- A non-traditional student is a student who is age 25 or older.
- Continuing Student
- A continuing student is a student who has been enrolled at Southwest and will continue enrollment at Southwest.
