Southwest Tennessee Community College to host FAFSA clinics for community
UPDATE (Feb. 17, 2025)
Due to the impending winter weather, the free FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) clinics scheduled for Feb. 18 and 20 at Southwest Tennessee Community College’s Macon Cove Campus are cancelled.
The remaining clinics will continue to be offered on Feb. 25 and Feb. 27, from 5 to 7 pm, at 5983 Macon Cove Road in Memphis.
Southwest Tennessee Community College, in partnership with Tennessee Achieves, is hosting a series of free FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) clinics to help students and families complete their financial aid applications for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Students who file the FAFSA will be eligible to receive many different types of financial aid, including grants and scholarships, student loans, Federal Work-Study awards, and more. The Tennessee state deadline to submit the FAFSA is April 15.
Open to the public, the clinics will provide hands-on assistance from Southwest’s financial aid, admissions and recruting and Tennessee Achives staff to guide attendees through the application process. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend.
The clinics will be offered during the month of February at three Southwest campus locations in Memphis: the Macon Cove Campus, Whitehaven Center and Maxine A. Smith Center.
On Feb. 18, Memphis Shelby County Schools will be present with interpreters at the Macon Cove Campus.
