Computer Lab 232 in the Bert Bornblum Library on the Macon Cove Campus CLOSED for sanitation; Reopens Thursday, March 4

Southwest Tennessee Community College has closed Computer Lab 232 in the Bert Bornblum Library on the Macon Cove Campus for sanitation following a reported case of COVID-19. The lab was identified as visited by an individual who submitted a report of a positive COVID-19 test. The lab reopens Thursday, March 4, 2021. All Southwest classes will take place as scheduled. Students with activities scheduled in this lab should contact his or her professor regarding the alternate lab location.
The Shelby County Health Department has recommended only closing the areas identified as visited by individuals who self-reported. Other areas of the building will remain open for operations while the College performs sanitation in the affected area in accordance with Back to Campus Plan guidelines and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention standards.
Southwest is performing contact tracing and notifying individuals who may have been in contact with the individual who tested positive for COVID-19.
All Southwest students, employees and visitors who test positive for COVID-19 are encouraged to self-report online on the coronavirus section of the Southwest website. The form only takes a few minutes to complete and all information will be kept strictly confidential.
