Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett visits Southwest’s Whitehaven Center

Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett met with Southwest Tennessee Community College President Tracy D. Hall and senior staff, along with Student Government Association President Shannon Crowder and Vice President Elizabeth Clark, during a visit at the College’s Whitehaven Center March 5, 2021.

During the visit, Hargett toured Southwest’s Funeral Service Education program, the first publicly funded mortuary school in Tennessee and the only one in West Tennessee. He also stopped by to thank health care workers and volunteers at the Whitehaven COVID-19 Vaccination Site. Southwest is the first college in Tennessee to host a drive-thru vaccination site in partnership with the Shelby County Health Department.
