Town Hall and Convocation prepare students and employees for fall semester
By Diana Fedinec
Southwest Tennessee Community College’s senior leadership will host a virtual Back to Campus Town Hall for students and the first virtual Fall Convocation for employees August 18 and 19, respectively. The online forums will provide an update on the College’s ongoing response to the Coronavirus pandemic, and an overview of what to expect for fall semester under Phase II of the College’s Back to Campus Plan.
Students return for fall semester beginning August 24, 2020. Phase II of the plan reopens two more of the College’s locations – the Maxine A. Smith and Whitehaven centers. Topics to be discussed during the forums include operations, safety precautions, staffing, academic schedules, course offerings and assistive technologies.
The Town Hall and Convocation will be offered via MS Teams with the opportunity for attendees to ask questions through the platform’s chat feature. Below is the schedule and Teams link for each forum.
