Southwest to Conduct Emergency Management Drill

Southwest Tennessee Community College Campus Police will be conducting an Emergency Management Training Drill on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the Union Avenue Campus. There will be a large number of emergency personnel on the campus on that day. The vehicles and equipment will be focused on the southeast lot on the corner of Manassas and Martin Luther King. All training scenarios will take place inside a building on the east side of campus.

Southwest is expecting professionals from the FBI, Memphis Police Department, Memphis Fire Department and other local municipalities. We have invited police officers from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences, Southern College of Optometry and Homeland Security. We are alerting the public so they will not feel alarmed by the large public safety presence and the flurry of activity on our campus on April 7th.
