Sophomore Caitlan Dew, who led the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) in goals and points this season, was named the TCCAA Offensive Player of the Year in a vote by the coaches. Sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Savage, freshman defender Anna Trotter and freshman midfielder Thaina Aparecida de Paula were also selected first team All-TCCAA. They led the much-improved Southwest women’s soccer team to seven wins this season, regular season conference runner-up and TCCAA tournament runner-up.
Dew scored 11 goals this season, including two goals against Dyersburg State (twice) and Columbia State (with the game-winner in double overtime), and had a total of 23 points. Savage led the conference with 114 saves and two shutouts and ranked second with a 1.88 goals against average and .786 save percentage.
