Title VI training is due May 16
Southwest Tennessee Community College faculty and staff are required to complete mandatory Title VI training annually. In an effort to meet this requirement and as part of Southwest’s ongoing compliance efforts, the Office of Equity & Compliance has partnered with Digital Learning to provide online training through PAWS. The deadline to complete the training is May 16, 2018.
The Title VI and Non-Discrimination Training course for Faculty and Staff should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. It consists of a series of modules and topics, plus a final assessment. Once begun, the course must be completed within 30 days. Take the course on any computer with access to the Internet through the PAWS link available on the upper right hand corner of Southwest’s website.
To access the training:
- Log onto PAWS at https://elearn.southwest.tn.edu/d2l/login using your Southwest employee credentials (username and password)*
- Scroll down to My Courses and select the “Title VI and Non-Discrimination Training” course
- Begin the course
*If you already have a PAWS student account, please use your student credentials to log-in.
Resume the course or review material at a later date using this same process. The entire training does not need to be completed in one sitting. Simply use the program’s bookmark feature to return the last module completed in the training.
Submit an incident/service request to report any accessibility difficulties. Select Digital Learning > DL – PAWS in the drop down menu. Indicate you are trying to access the Title VI and Non-Discrimination Training course. In the Description area, include you username, Banner ID, last name, and first name, in that order.
Once the course is completed, the site will notify Office of Equity & Compliance immediately. The confirmation page may be printed as a record.
Direct PAWS access questions to Digital Learning at (901) 333-4612. Title VI training questions should be directed to the Office of Equity & Compliance at (901) 333-5005 or via email at equityandcompliance@southwest.tn.edu.
