HR announces Employee of the Month program
The professional and classified staff organizations, in conjunction with Human Resources, announce a new Employee Recognition Program where the winner is chosen by employees. Every month, employees can recognize a fellow employee who goes above and beyond his/her regular job expectations, provides outstanding customer service, or performs distinctive achievements that impact his/her department or institution.
All full and part-time staff and administrative employees who have been employed at least six months are eligible for nomination. The following administrators are not eligible (although they can vote): president, vice presidents, associate vice presidents, deans, associate deans, and executive directors who report to a vice president or the president and faculty. Employees who are nominated must not have any documented corrective action within the past six months.
The achievements for which the employee is being recognized must have been accomplished within the last 60 days. An employee of the month nomination form must be completed and submitted by the 15th of the month prior to the selection. No anonymous submissions will be accepted.
The nominator does not have to be the supervisor or director of the respective department; however, the nominator must be someone who has direct knowledge of the nominee’s contributions in the area for which they are being nominated. A committee representing the Professional Administrative Staff Organization (PASO) and Support Staff Organization (SSO) will review all nominations.
The selected employee of the month will receive a week of free food from The Taste at Southwest (lunch or breakfast) and a temporary reserved parking space of choice on his/her main campus (parking restrictions may apply).
