TBR Approves $1,000 one-time bonus for eligible Southwest faculty and staff
When President Hall announced at convocation last month that she had requested Tennessee Board of Regents to approve a $1,000 bonus for Southwest faculty and staff, the announcement was met with cheers and applause. “I want to recognize faculty and staff’s outstanding work over the past year to help the College realize significant gains in enrollment, retention and credentials conferred,” President Hall said.
TBR officials approved the bonus, the maximum amount allowed, during their quarterly meeting Sept. 28.
Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to help us move ever closer to
our Big Audacious Goal to Redesign, Reinvent, and Reset Southwest,
Hall adds, pleased with the board’s decision. I truly am proud of our achievements and grateful for the privilege to work alongside
faculty and staff in our quest to transform the lives of our students through career
and technical education.
Eligible for the one-time bonus are faculty and staff who are benefits-eligible, were employed on or before June 30, 2018, and are active on payroll as of Nov. 30, 2018, when the bonus will be issued. This is a one-time bonus that will not be added to faculty and staff base compensation.
