My Southwest Story: Clara Mashburn

Clara Mashburn is in the spotlight this week! Mashburn, a psychology major at Southwest Tennessee Community College, is highly involved on campus as a member of the Student Government Association and a peer mentor to fellow students.

Throughout her time at the College, Mashburn has been inducted into the National Society for Leadership and Success (NSLS) and completed the Student Leadership Institute (SLI) program.

A first-generation college student, Mashburn is also the eldest of five siblings. She credits her family for motivating her and continually pushing her to accomplish her goals.

In this week’s My Southwest Story, Clara shares why receiving an education is so important to her and how she plans to utilize her degree in the future.
