Foundation Provides a $10,000 Grant for Student Scholarships and Grants; $800,000 funding in 2024 total

Nearly $800,000 in funding for scholarships and grants benefiting 800 students was provided in 2024, a feat President Dr. Tracy D. Hall said reflects the compassion and dedication of the college donors. Their generosity was honored on Dec. 3 at the annual Southwest Foundation Holiday Appreciation Luncheon on the Macon Cove Campus.
Hall, along with other keynote speakers, extended thanks to the donors for their impactful contributions. Dr. Hall highlighted the significant difference these donations make in students' lives.
Attendees heard testimonials from students who’ve received funding via grants and scholarships from The Southwest Foundation. The students expressed their gratitude and shared how they were able to complete their courses and programs without worrying about financial strain due to donors’ contributions.

“I am so proud when I hear directly from students about the impact the Southwest Foundation has had on them,” Hall told Foundation members and attendees. “Each year, your contributions create pathways to success for many students facing challenges, helping them continue their education.”
