Mandatory Title IX Training for Southwest Students
The Tennessee Board of Regents and Southwest have partnered with Vector Solutions
again this year to provide Report = Support!, Sexual Misconduct Prevention for Students.
This online interactive training covers Title IX policies and best practices. It also
addresses sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, and interpersonal violence. It will
explore how to respond to disclosures and when to intervene if you witness questionable
behavior.
TBR requires that all students complete this mandatory Title IX training annually. This includes full-time or part-time students, as well as online students. Dual-enrolled students are not required to complete the training. Training begins on March 17, 2025, and ends on May 16, 2025. If you have not already, you will receive an email from Vector Solutions for access to the training.
Just so you know, the training is most easily accessed on campus. For best results, you need a strong internet connection, preferably Ethernet. If you are completing the training off campus, the browser that will likely work best for you is Google Chrome.
Your personal Southwest login must be used to receive credit. You will be credited with completing the training once you reach the end of the interactive session and see the completion screen. You will receive a confirmation email from Vector Solutions.
Title IX training is a part of Southwest’s ongoing efforts to ensure higher levels of compliance with applicable regulations. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in any education program or activity that receives federal funding. Under Title IX, discrimination based on sex can include sexual harassment, rape, and sexual assault. If you completed the training during the fall 2024 semester, you do not have to complete it during the spring 2025 semester.
