Medical District High School has been named a 2024–25 Tennessee Reward School, earning recognition as one of the state’s top-performing public schools.

Located on the Union Avenue Campus of Southwest Tennessee Community College, the innovative early college high school is demonstrating what’s possible when students are supported, challenged, and connected to real-world opportunities. From dual enrollment courses to career pathways in allied healthcare, information technology, and beyond, students are thriving.

“Because of the dedication of Tennessee district, charter and school leaders, along with our outstanding educators, we are proud to see their hard work demonstrated in these results,” said Lizzette Reynolds, Commissioner of Education. “Congratulations to the 459 Reward schools and the 14 Exemplary districts for reaching this incredible milestone.”

Each year, schools and districts are eligible for designations based on overall performance across indicators essential to student success. Schools are recognized as Reward Schools when they demonstrate high levels of performance and improvement across student groups and performance indicators. The distinction places significant emphasis on achievement and growth from the prior school year.

Medical District High School’s designation underscores its commitment to preparing students for college and careers while building a culture of excellence in the heart of Memphis.
