ATD DREAM Scholar Allyson Harrison captivates audience at Achieving the Dream Convening

Southwest nursing student Allyson Harrison captivated the audience with her powerful and moving recitation of her poem, "I Am Allyson," during the 2024 Achieving the Dream Convening held Feb. 19-22 in Orlando, Fla. Her heartfelt words resonated deeply, inspiring those in attendance and leaving a lasting impact.
Harrison's perseverance to achieve success in college and in her personal life have earned her recognition as one of only eight community college students nationwide, and notably, the first from Southwest, selected as a 2024 DREAM Scholar.
