Foundation Office
Welcome to the Southwest Tennessee Community College Foundation page. The Foundation is one of Southwest’s most critical partners in promoting success and upward social mobility for Southwest students. The Foundation supports students by helping them overcome financial and life challenges that threaten their ability to persist to completion of their certificate or degree. More than $100,000 in book, emergency and tuition scholarships are awarded to students with the most need each year.
When the Foundation helps, students are more likely to succeed. The graduation rate for Foundation scholars is 60% versus about 13% for those students who do not receive Foundation assistance. In addition, 100% of Foundation donations directly support student success!

About the Foundation
The Southwest Foundation was created in 2000 as a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable corporation to enhance the mission of the College.
The Foundation Board of Trustees is comprised of several local business and civic leaders who are committed to advancing the mission of the College. Each trustee functions as an advisor to the President, stewards to the Foundation's donors, and serve as "friend-raisers" to the College, bringing in others from throughout the community to assist Southwest in fulfilling its educational goals, in addition to making their own personal financial commitments to the college.
