The ASC provides such resources as textbooks and computer labs, and offers workshops on various topics designed to promote student and faculty success.
Resources and Computer Labs
Resources such as Wi-Fi networking, open academic computer labs with both PCs and Macs, and disability compliant study areas are available.
Availability of instructional resources may vary among locations. The materials include instructional videos, study guides, most current textbooks, student solutions manuals, and content area handouts on specific topics.
Students can work on computer assignments and projects. Students taking online classes can Log In to their courses from our labs. Computer assistance is available if needed. Tutorial software covering basic skills in Writing, Reading, and Math is available for students. All computers have Internet access and are equipped with printers. Labs contain Microsoft Office application software. Copiers are available for student use for 10 cents per page.
Workshops
Southwest appreciates the support Southwest students need in advancing their academic and career goals. The ASC in cooperation with Southwest faculty members can help provide workshops, open to all currently-enrolled students, to address topics that will ensure every Southwest student can be successful. From course-specific content to study skills and strategies, these workshops will support students in becoming confident, successful, and independent learners.
