TBR offers QPR suicide prevention training for faculty and staff
By Diana Fedinec
Question. Persuade. Refer. These are actions we all can take to help someone who is in crisis, prevent a suicide and save a life.
The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) in partnership with the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network offers QPR suicide prevention training for faculty and staff Sept. 16, 24 and 28 and Oct. 7, 15 and 19. Taught by Dr. Sandra Perley, a member of the Tennessee Department of Health Suicide Prevention Task Force and survivor of suicide loss, the training is a virtual two-hour session tailored for those who work in higher education.
For times and more details about the training, click on the QPR Flyer. Register for the training here: https://www.tbr.edu/student-success/qpr-training-registration.
Southwest offers mental health counseling to students experiencing a mental health crisis.
